Four lunch talks at the University of Copenhagen will this autumn put focus on feminist aspects of themes like big data, gender diversity and girls in STEM disciplines (science, technology, engineering, mathematics).

The Feminist Lunch Talks are organised by the Coordination for Gender Research and will all be online events with a Zoom link sent to the participants.

Program:

  • September 30th, 12.00-13.00: "In programming I don’t give myself a gender”: Complicating gender binaries in computer science.
  • October 21st, 12.00-13.00: Gendered Formations of Educational Interests and Aspirations - Girls in STEM.
  • October 28th, 12.00-13.00: Knowledge Hierarchies and Gender stratification in Danish Academia – Presentation of a new research project.
  • December 2nd, 12.00-13.00: Hanne Petersen,professor, Faculty of Law, University of Copenhagen.
